Swing for Scholarship

The Highland Woods Employee Scholarship Fund is intended to provide financial assistance to eligible employees of Highland Woods who are seeking education beyond high school to further their skills and education. This education can be a bachelor’s degree; associate’s degree; vocational certificate; or an apprenticeship program from any accredited college or training facility.

The Employee Scholarship fund was started with an initial $10,000 donation from a Highland Woods resident who wishes to remain anonymous. We then collected more than $15,000 from our Members, including the newly formed “100 Women Who Care.”

We need to build the fund, so that we can start awarding scholarships in 2026-2027 school year. The inaugural “Swing for Scholarships” golf tournament is planned as an annual event to raise money for the fund. The tournament will be held on February 8, 2025. Our plans are to make the Employee Scholarship Program the signature charity of Highland Woods — with all Highland Woods activity groups participating in fundraising events.
